Welcome to the Fire and Maneuver Course. Thank you for trusting me with your training needs.
I view training with a “fighting rifle,” as a civic duty. When the founders of our great country wrote the second amendment to our constitution, it was done so not to guarantee the pastime of target practice, or the joy of hunting wild game. It was penned to empower the citizens of this country with the ability to preserve their freedoms and protect their republic from foreign and domestic governments. This class exists to not only fulfill that civic duty, but also enable you to protect your family and home with arguably the most effective means to do so: a high powered, military or paramilitary grade rifle.
This class combines concepts from Foundations of Fighting Rifle with learning how to operate as a team during a combat engagement. This is not something that we should view as “fringe,” or extremist. This was a common place practice that was used to defend our Nation from foreign enemies. My hope is that you will embrace your civic duty to train this way and to realize that every citizen of this country is the “Militia.”
I sincerely pray that this class gives you peace for the future. The immediate future for the duration of your earthly life, and the eternal one where you will stand before the God who created you to give account.
Respectfully,
Scott Willey

Here is a YouTube video that is mandatory to watch prior to training. I highly recommend reading Jeff Cooper’s “Principles of Personal Defense,” prior to class (included for your convenience in the same email you receive this packet in).
Watch this video before you come train, (I recommend watching it multiple times)
This course is designed to teach students how to shoot, move, and communicate during a firefight. Students will learn about the use of cover, weapons manipulation, safety while in a dynamic team environment, individual movement techniques, and reacting to contact. Students are expected to sleep on the training ground using the items in their rucksack on the first night. This is to equip them to understand basic field craft in a combat environment.
This class is a two day, one night training experience. Tuition is $550 per student. You will not receive the location of the class or details for it without paying first. Tuition is non refundable. If you cannot make it to class you are encouraged to sell your slot to someone else. Please let us know if you do this, so that we can have the necessary paperwork ready for the change.
YOUR RIFLE MUST BE ZERORED PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL AT TRAINING. DO NOT SHOW UP WITH A RIFLE THAT IS NOT ZERORED, OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TRAIN WITH THAT RIFELE! PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS.
1. A backpack or rucksack with the following items:
a. Sleep system
b. Wet weather gear
c. Two pairs of socks
d. 2 quarts of water
e. 1 meal
f. Cold weather gear as needed
g. Bug spray
2. A rifle that is adequate for fighting, semi-automatic and magazine fed preferably (I base most of my curriculum around the AR-15 platform). But I recommend bringing the rifle you own and will most likely use.
3. A handgun or revolver that is adequate for fighting – this does not include pocket pistols. Some .380 pistols are not adequate or reliable enough to meet these criteria, and .22 caliber handguns are not allowed for training. The last page of this packet will require you to declare which weapons you will train with.
4. At least four rifle magazines
5. At least three spare magazines or speed clips (if you are shooting a revolver) for your handgun.
6. A sling for your rifle. I recommend a two-point sling that is quickly adjustable such as a Proctor sling, or an AR500 Economy Sling.
7. Some way to hold your spare rifle magazines. Ie. a plate carrier, battle belt, LBE/LBV, mag pouch.
8. A magazine holder for your pistol mags.
9. A belt that supports the weight of your firearm while on your person.
10. A holster that you can wear on your belt on your dominant hand side – all trigger finger
released holsters are prohibited on all my courses. If you come with one, you will not be allowed to train until it is replaced. An example of this is a Blackhawk Serpa holster.
11. Hearing protection.
12. Eye protection – both clear and shaded.
13. Appropriate clothing – no flip flops or tank tops. I recommend pants, t-shirt, and some type of boot or shoe. We will train in any weather condition, so prepare accordingly. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND TREATING YOUR CLOTHES WITH PERMETHRIN. This will greatly decrease your chances of tick and chigger bites.
14. You will need 800 rounds of rifle ammo and 50 rounds of pistol ammo. DO NOT BRING STEEL CORE AMMO (green tip M855, etc.).
15. Bring a notebook and pen (preferably one that fits in a pocket).
16. Please bring plenty of water, and snacks for yourself and pack a lunch for both days. (We recommend a cooler)
The range location and directions will be included in the email that you receive when you confirm attendance.
Please be on time and prepared for class. This means that you have already taken the time to try on your gear and made sure it fits and is adjusted to your needs. This also means that your handgun is loaded with a round in the chamber and in your holster on your body at the start of class. You will be given time to unload your defensive carry ammo and load your practice ammo. Have any spare magazines or speed loaders loaded prior to class.
Prior to unloading your range gear, we will meet briefly to collect your release of liability form and your class tuition. We will then go over firearms safety and range rules. Class will last eight hours or until all curriculum is completed.
You will need to read, print, and sign the release of liability form in the PDF link above and bring it to class. The other form on the second to last page is an application for training please fill out and email this application to paladintowertactics@gmail.com prior to class.
