Welcome to Performance Rifle Course. Thank you for trusting me with your training needs.
I view training with a “fighting rifle,” as a civic duty. If you have taken my “Foundations of Fighting Rifle class," then you are aware of my beliefs on training with a military grade rifle. The Armalite Rifle (AR platform) is the modern-day Brown Bess musket. There ought to be one hanging over every mantle in every American home. This is our first line of defense against tyranny and foreign invasion. This is the quintessential tool of Liberty, and my aim is to greatly improve your proficiency in employing it for the purpose of protecting life. Whether this is in the context of your profession in law enforcement, or it is defending your home as a citizen, this course will provide you with the skills and mindset to win the gunfight.
Please read this packet thoroughly and print it to use it as a check list for your preparation for class.
I sincerely pray that this class gives you peace for the future. The immediate future for the duration of your earthly life, and the eternal one where you will stand before the God who created you to give account.
Respectfully,
Scott Willey

Here is a YouTube video that is mandatory to watch prior to training. I highly recommend reading Jeff Cooper’s “Principles of Personal Defense,” prior to class (included for your convenience in the same email you receive this packet in).
Watch this video before you come train, (I recommend watching it multiple times)

YOUR RIFLE MUST BE ZERORED PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL AT TRAINING. DO NOT SHOW UP WITH A RIFLE THAT IS NOT ZERORED, OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TRAIN WITH THAT RIFELE! PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS.
1. A rifle that is adequate for fighting, semi-automatic and magazine fed preferably (I base most of my curriculum around the AR-15 platform). But I recommend bringing the rifle you own and will most likely use.
2. A handgun or revolver that is adequate for fighting – this does not include pocket pistols. Some .380 pistols are not adequate or reliable enough to meet these criteria, and .22 caliber handguns are not allowed for training. The last page of this packet will require you to declare which weapons you will train with.
3. At least six rifle magazines- You will be loading magazines quite a bit, be sure you have enough
4. At least three spare magazines or speed clips (if you are shooting a revolver) for your handgun.
5. A sling for your rifle. I recommend a two-point sling that is quickly adjustable such as a Proctor sling, or Blue Force Gear sling, or TROY T-sling.
6. Some way to hold at least one spare rifle magazines. Ie. a plate carrier, battle belt, LBE/LBV, mag pouch.
7. A magazine holder for your pistol mags.
8. A belt that supports the weight of your firearm while on your person.
9. A holster that you can wear on your belt on your dominant hand side – all trigger finger released holsters are prohibited on all my courses. If you come with one, you will not be allowed to train until it is replaced. An example of this is a Blackhawk Serpa holster.
10. Hearing protection.
11. Eye protection – both clear and shaded.
12. Appropriate clothing – no flip flops or tank tops. I recommend pants, t-shirt, and some type of boot or shoe. We will train in any weather condition, so prepare accordingly.
13. You will need 700 rounds of rifle ammo and 150 rounds of pistol ammo. DO NOT BRING STEEL CORE AMMO (green tip M855, etc.).
14. Bring a notebook and pen (preferably one that fits in a pocket).
15. Please bring plenty of water for yourself and pack a lunch.
The range location and directions will be included in the email that you receive when you confirm attendance.
Please be on time and prepared for class. This means that you have already taken the time to try on your gear and made sure it fits and is adjusted to your needs. This also means that your handgun is loaded with a round in the chamber and in your holster on your body at the start of class. You will be given time to unload your defensive carry ammo and load your practice ammo. Have any spare magazines or speed loaders loaded prior to class.
Prior to unloading your range gear, we will meet briefly to collect your release of liability form and your class tuition. We will then go over firearms safety and range rules. Class will last eight hours or until all curriculum is completed.
You will need to read, print, and sign the release of liability form in the PDF link above and bring it to class. The other form on the second to last page is an application for training please fill out and email this application to paladintowertactics@gmail.com prior to class.
